SEA MOSS GEL INSTRUCTIONS
1.Lasts in the refrigerator around 3 ½ weeks. Sea Moss Gel not in use can be stored in the freezer and thawed out the night before needed. Store in the refrigerator afterwards. I would suggest using 1 at a time to preserve freshness.
Adults: 2 Tablespoons a day ( a day if sick or in pain
Children: 3+ and older [½ to 1 tablespoon a day (1½ tbsp if sick/pain)]
3. Great in smoothies, soups, cooked foods, and hot drinks
Liquifies in a hot food or hot drink (no gel experience)
4.SEA MOSS FACE MASK: Treat yourself to a 25 minute Sea Moss Beauty Mask! Use roughly 1 tablespoon of SUPERB SEA MOSS GEL OR SUPERB SUPREME SEA MOSS GEL on a clean face. Place 1 tablespoon in a small pot until it liquefies (which will happen quickly) Once lukewarm, apply generously to your face. Wash face after sea moss dries and hardens. It gets tight, so facial movement is limited when dry. Do not pull face muscles to loosen the dry mask, which can irritate some skin. Wash off face once dry. Avoid contact with eyes and nostrils. MEN: Great mask to apply after shaving! Reduces inflammation and bacterial irritation that leads to razor bumps
HAIR: Heat up in a small pot, just until sea moss liquifies. Once lukewarm, add to scalp. Allow sea moss to soak for 20 minutes. Some people get under the hair dryer to apply heat. Wash and style! Nourishes, strengthens, and softens the hair! Fights dry, itchy scalp!
The benefits of Sea Moss include:
Thyroid Health
Sea Moss is rich in Iodine which is the critical ingredient for hormone production. It is absorbed by the thyroid and combined with the amino acid tyrosine to create Thyroxine and Triiodothyronine. These are the main two hormones responsible for regulating your metabolism. A healthy thyroid depends on a daily supply of iodine in your diet. The thyroid gland is responsible for:
- regulating the body's metabolic rate by managing heart rate, muscle control, and digestive function
- brain development
- bone maintenance
- weight control
Heart Health
Sea Moss is a reliable source of vitamins and minerals that contribute to a healthy heart. Some of these include Folic Acid, Potassium, Vitamin D, Magnesium, and Omega-3 Fatty Acids. A daily supply of these nutrients can:
- improve circulation and blood flow, which helps to regulate blood pressure
- strengthen blood vessels and slow their deterioration
- increase oxygen saturation in the blood
- reduce bad cholesterol
- provide antioxidant properties to prevent organ oxidation
Immune System Health
Sea Moss is antiviral, antibacterial, antimicrobial, anticoagulant, and anti-inflammatory. It also has probiotic properties which aid in digestion and promote overall gut health. It is also an excellent expectorant, which is why Sea Moss is used in treating sore throats, tuberculosis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. Sea Moss is known to have alkaline properties, which increase oxygen levels in the body. Our bodies are naturally alkaline and when they get too acidic, diseases begin to form.
Skin, Hair, and Nail Health
Sea Moss acts as a drawing agent, pulling toxins to the surface and replenishing the skin with essential minerals. It is suitable for sensitive skin types and can be used to treat:
- sunburn
- acne
- eczema
- dermatitis
- Psoriasis
The nutrients in Sea Moss also strengthen connective tissues in the hair and nails, regenerating them from the inside out.
Sexual Health
Sea Moss is rich in zinc and other minerals that are vital to reproductive function and overall reproductive health. It is known for increasing libido and its anti-inflammatory properties promote circulation in reproductive organs as well as in the rest of the body. Sea Moss also contains riboflavin(B2) and folate(B9), B-vitamins that boost overall energy levels and replenish red blood cells.
